Job Openings and Employee Turnover

The latest Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey  news release has been posted on the BLS website, highlights are below.

• There were 3.9 million job openings on the last business day of June, little changed from May.

• The hires rate (3.1 percent) and the separations rate (3.0 percent) also were little changed in June.

• The separation rate includes voluntary voluntary quits, which measures employees’ willingness to leave a job.

The best candidates are moving through our office quickly. They have interviews scheduled with multiple companies, they receive more than one offer and do not remain on the job market long. When you find a candidate, move him or her through the interview process quickly to avoid losing out to your competition.
